Hideout_Escape |
Date released: 14/06/02 Map type: Single Player Story: Investigation, Part 2 Plot: No sooner do Kyle and the Padawan reach the Jedi, who is unhurt, than they feel a strange disturbance in the force. They all attempt to escape from the hideout. Other info: Remnant forces may have tried to block their path, but there is always a way out for a determined Jedi. Mission Objectives: Escape the Hideout Notes:This map didn't take very long to build, and I released it not long after Hideout. The main reason for the speed was that I used the Hideout level as a base, keeping most of the architecture, and worked from that. I wanted to make it a bit more varied, with you having to do more than just hack your way through, thinking a little to progress. With this in mind I added in bits where the remnant forces had tried to block the players escape, and you had to find a way through' these ways through varied, although I admit they were hardly that difficult or challenging really. Instead of fighting gang type baddies this time it was stormtroopers, which I always found more fun to fight against myself. Again, many of the problems of Hideout were still there, since the architecture was still the same. There are now 2 Jedi with you, and being invovled in a few big fights with them is porobabaly the best part of the level, the highlight again for me probabaly being the room with lots of pillars, lots of reborn and this time a load of stormtroopers too. The real problem with these two Jedi is that they do have problems navigating the level, they often get stuck with doors and corners, and you have to go back for them. Whilst this was a bit of a pain in Hideout, its a lot more annoying with two of them! New features: I used Func_Breakables in this map to provide walls, pillars and doors that could be smashed by the player New Sounds: No New Skins: No New Objects: No Brush Count: 974 Entity Count: 213 Base info: Based upon my previous map, Hideout, with some alterations Build Time: Around 15 Hours Software Used: JK2Radient Additional Credits: Raven Thanks to: The kind people at Lucasforums mapping forum www.jediknightii.net www.massassi.net Raven www.Jedioutcastmaps.com for their excellent screenshots and publishing of my last map, Hideout |
