| In Hideout, the story begins. Kyle Katarn was on Tenet, an obscure, fairly arid planet in the Outer Rim, when he was called by a Padawan, Ryek De Metz, to help him locate his master, Shim Azu Uesegi, a Jedi who had gone missing whilst investigating something on the planet. De Metz was unaware of what his master has been investigating, he had wanted De Metz to avoid involvement. Kyle and De Metz fought their way through the Hideout and located Uesegi, who was not badly injured. In Hideout_Escape, Kyle, De Metz and Uesegi have to fight their way through the hideout after Remnant forces swamped the area. After they had escaped, Kyle and De Metz learned that Uesegi had been investiagting rumous of Remnant activity of some kind on the planet, something involving experimentation and research of some kind. Uesegi had learned of a possible location of the Remnant base in the mostly uninhabited deserts of Tenet. In Remnant_Experiment, Kyle infiltrated the base seperately to De Metz and Uesegi, who went in another way. He found that something had gone very wrong at the base; it was in a state of disarray and was heavily damaged even before he arrived. There were signs that some kind of animal experimentation had been going on, creatures were being kept in the base, although many had escaped and done great damage. Kyle managed to turn off the power and shield generators, and to get outside of the base to a disused hanger. There he met with Uesegi and De Metz, who had already found their way out of the base, and Jan who had landed the Raven's Claw a safe distance away. It was considered too dangerous for a ground invasion, seeing the damage the creatures had wrecked on Remnant forces. As they escaped they could see the aerial bombardment of the base begin behind them. The Jedi had infiltrated the base and found strong evidence that Galtech Industries, one of the largest interplanetary corperations, ad links with Remnant forces. They had found technology and research which appeared to have originated from Galtech. The New Republic wanted greater details of exactly what the relationship between Galtech and the Remnant were, and what their technologies were being used for. Kyle was sent to infiltrate a major Galtech research centre on Eltrech, an important industrial planet, Jan Ors was to provide backup with De Metz and Uesegi if needed. Things were going smoothly; Kyle has just managed to sneak past the perimenter security of the research compound. Then he was knocked unconscious. Kyle awakens in a prison cell....... |

| Planets: Tenet A small, arid planet on the Outer Rim. Essentially a largely agricultural planet with a specialisation in plants and animals good in the dry conditions. Low population density, with few urban areas and many isolated small-holdings. Eltrech Large Industial World in the Hub area of the Republic. Home to many large industrial and research sites and many large uban areas, with a few sparcely occupied areas in the barren mountanous regions. Harneralt Best known for being the home planet of Galtech. Galtech's founder Micheal Jameson is well known for going against the established order and it was a typical act for him to base his company on a planet not in the busiest parts of the Hub but somewhere around the fringe between the Hub and the Rim of the Republic. The planet is quite large, fairly but not heavily industrial with a strong cultural and environmental sense. Aquilonus Tiny and little known planet on the very fringe of the Republic. Located within the Ardan Belt, an area deemed extremely dangerous due to the powerful and warring criminal and piratical groups based there. Aquilonus had long suffered at the hands of such mauraders, the worst of these has proved to be the Empire. Th Empire having conquered the planet, it was not liberated with it's fall, but was consolidated by Remnant forces. The Imperial Governor of the area has become the a very powerful figure in the region, gaining the support of many of the criminal factions, as well as some noted Remnant figures. Aquilonus is a mircocosm of the problem the New Republic has faced since it's inception; Remnant forces have allied with those that the Republic would also oppose, criminals, pirates and more besides, and as such has proved as difficult to eliminate as the criminal factions to eliminate. Worse still, the Remnant has on occasions been able to unite the dispirate and previously warring enemies of the Republic. Dangerous and issolated regions such as the Ardan Belt have proved hard for the Republic to marshall or police, and many still live under Remnant Occupation. The Imperial Governor has made Aquilonus his headquarters, with his elite garrison stationed there. Swamptroopers provide excellent forces for the heavily wooded areas of the planet, and the easily recognisable red legion of stormtroopers are highly armed and organised. |
